NOV 28 2026 10:30AM: Family Fun: Italian for Lunch - Hands On
Available in stock (16)
Designed for families to cook together. Kids ages 6 and up are welcome with a participating parent. Pricing is per person, so please purchase a ticket for each child and adult.
Some of the best family memories are made in the kitchen: flour on the counter, sauce on someone's chin, and everyone pitching in to get lunch on the table. Italian food was made for exactly this kind of cooking, built on simple ingredients, big flavors, and the joy of sharing a meal together. Join James Beard Award-winning author Chef Cynthia Graubart for a hands-on family cooking class where parents and kids team up to make a classic Italian lunch from start to finish.
This class is all about learning together. Chef Cynthia guides families through kid-friendly kitchen skills like breading chicken, tossing a fresh salad, and layering a dessert, while parents tackle the steps that call for a grown-up's hand. Along the way, you'll pick up tips for roasting vegetables, building a crisp, golden crust, and making a no-bake dessert that's fun to assemble. Whether your young chef is just getting started or already loves helping out at home, your family will leave with new skills, a full stomach, and recipes you can cook together again and again.
What's on the Menu:
- Chicken Parmesan: The Italian-American favorite that everyone loves. Families work together to bread and cook chicken until crisp and golden, then top it with marinara and melty cheese, a hands-on dish that kids will be proud to say they made themselves.
- Big Italian Salad: A colorful, crunchy salad loaded with fresh vegetables and tossed in a zesty Italian dressing. Perfect for little hands, it's a fun way to get kids excited about eating their greens.
- Roasted Garlic Broccolini: Tender, slightly crisp broccolini roasted with garlic until golden at the edges. A simple, delicious side that shows kids just how good vegetables can taste when they're cooked the right way.
- Tiramisu: Italy's famous layered dessert, made for building together. Families layer creamy filling and soft ladyfingers into a rich, elegant treat, the sweetest possible ending to a family cooking adventure.
The morning ends with everyone gathered around the table, enjoying the lunch you cooked together as a family. Come hungry and bring your favorite little sous chefs; this is the family cooking class Atlanta kids (and parents) will be talking about for weeks.
